LAKE OF MENTEITH TARIFFS, REGULATIONS AND DURATION OF SESSIONS 2007

DAY SESSIONS: 24th MARCH TO 31st OCTOBER

9.30am -5.30pm, Limit 12 fish per boat, Charge - Mon to Frid £39 per boat. Sat £48 per boat

SHORT EVENING SESSIONS: 7th MAY TO 18th MAY, AND 30th JULY TO 17th AUGUST. 6.00pm - 10.00pm, Limit 8 fish per boat, Charge – Mon to Frid £22 per boat.

MAIN EVENING SESSION: 19th MAY TO 29th JULY

6.00pm - 11.00pm, Limit 12 fish per boat, Charge – Mon to Frid £27 per boat

SUNDAY SESSION: 25th MARCH TO 21st OCTOBER

12noon – 7pm, Limit 12 fish per boat, Charge £48 per boat.

ROD AND TACKLE HIRE: £6 per session.

SENIOR CITIZEN PAIRS: £25 per day boat (Mondays and Wednesdays only). Also Tuesday and Thursday long evenings @£22. Two anglers per boat. Limit 12 fish. There are restrictions on advanced bookings.

ALL DAY TICKET : £50 per boat , 15 fish limit, Mon-Friday only.

SINGLE ANGLERS may hire a boat for a midweek session at £21 for a day and £16 per evening. The limit is 6 fish and the offer is subject to boat availability. Single boat charge weekend rate is £26.

ADULT AND YOUTH TICKET: Youths (under 18) free when accompanied by a fishing adult.

A brand new MARK II WHEELY BOAT for use by those with wheel chairs or limited mobility is available for hire. Cost /day £15 single rod and £21 per two rods. Evenings: £10 single rod and £15 per two rods.

Two EARLY MORNING SESSIONS available on; Sat 21st July and Sat 4th Aug. 4am till 9am (electric engines only). Cost £30 per boat.

NOTES

Boatmen will only be in attendance at the commencement and termination of each session. Boat hires must be taken up within 30 minutes of each session (unless prior arrangement has been made), and returned not later than the times shown. A qualified instructor or ghillie can be arranged through the booking office.

BASIC FISHERY RULES

Catch and release is allowed and de-barbed hooks recommended. When the limit has been reached and anglers continue with catch and release, all fish over 5lbs may still be taken. All fish under 11 inches to be returned.

Fly fishing only – flies not to exceed 1 ¼ inches.

Only landing nets provided by fishery allowed in boats.

No trawling, hand lining or bait. No anchoring or mooring.

Maximum of three persons per boat, all of whom may fish. The Health and Safety Executive requires that buoyancy aids or life jackets provided must be worn. Landing on islands is forbidden.

No interfering with nets or fixed equipment.
